Celebrating EML at the Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards 2025

It was a night to remember as the Peterborough Apprenticeship Awards 2025 honoured the incredible achievements of apprentices, mentors, and employers across the region. Held at the Holiday Inn, Peterborough, the glittering ceremony welcomed around 200 guests, all gathered to celebrate talent, dedication, and innovation.

The awards, which span 14 categories, provide a platform to showcase the outstanding contributions of apprentices, their mentors, and the training providers who support them. Kev Lawrence, Radio DJ on PCR FM, hosted the evening, keeping the atmosphere lively and engaging throughout the event.

Guests were welcomed by Gary Blurton, Regional Director at National World, who reminded attendees of the unique value apprenticeships bring: "In a world that often feels divided, where we’re constantly asked to choose one path over another, apprenticeships offer something different."

EML Electrical Shines

Our team at EML Electrical had a brilliant evening celebrating the hard work and achievements of our apprentices and mentors. We are proud to announce that our team took home two top honours:

Apprentice Ambassador for Mark Brear and Mentor of the Year for Sarah Amaddio, recognising their dedication and positive impact on both our business and the wider community.

We also celebrated having finalists in several other categories, including Engineering/Manufacturing Apprentice of the Year (Ryan Handley) and Advanced Apprentice (Ethan Allen). On the employer front, EML Electrical was proud to be a finalist for SME Employer of the Year, having previously

won Employer of the Year twice in a row.

These accolades are more than just awards, they reflect our ongoing commitment to nurturing talent, supporting apprentices, and contributing to the growth of our team and the local community! We are incredibly proud of our apprentices, mentors, and everyone who makes EML Electrical a place of learning, innovation, and opportunity.
