Got EVs? Don’t forget your EV charger maintenance
If your business or organisation has already made the switch the electric vehicles, it’s important not to forget ongoing EV charger maintenance.
At EML, whether your chargers are fast, rapid or ultra-rapid, and whether you’ve got a single charger outside of an office or a vast bank in a public space, we’ll make sure they’re functioning correctly, performing efficiently and most importantly, safe for you, your staff, and the public.
For chargers that are available to the public or used regularly, we’d suggest they have a service and safety inspection carried out at least once a year. Some insurance companies and fire risk assessors may require regular testing, so it definitely pays to invest in preventative maintenance of your EV charging points.
What’s included?
In your EV charger service package, we’ll carry out a visual inspection, functional testing, electrical tests and check the power supply and earthing system to make sure it’s compliant with regulations. This last bit is particularly important for safety but is often overlooked.
We obviously hope we can give your EV chargers a clean bill of health, but should we find any issues, we can give you a quote for repairs and get things sorted quickly.
